Lightning Beat Rebels To Regain 1st Place In North Conference

The Lightning beat the Garden State Rebels 130 to 118 in a rematch they lost in New Jersey two weeks ago. The game was played Saturday Feb. 11th and the win puts Hartford back in first place in the North Conference. Brian Mckenzie led Hartford with 30 points. Doug Wiggins scored 22points,6 rebounds and  9 assists. Kyle Wright had 20 points, 16 rebounds and 7 assists and Raheim Lowery added 13 points and 15 rebounds. DOUG WIGGINS NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

Doug Wiggins the former University of Connecticut guard and current Hartford Lightning point guard has been named Atlantic Coast Professional Basketball League (ACPBL) player of the week.  The 6 foot 1 inch guard led his Hartford Lightning to a 140-119 win over the Toms River Shooters with 24 points, 10 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals while draining three long 3-point shots from well behind the NBA 3-point line.

Doug Wiggins will next be in action on Saturday December 17th in a Hartford Lightning home game vs. the Manhattan Pride, tip-off is slated for 7:00pm from the Sports and Medical Sciences Academy in the heart of Hartford.
